“Domenico Del Giudice is a remarkable guitarist whom I admire not only for his great technical skill and deep musical expressivity, but also for his refined and generous interpretations which allow him to create musical images of rare intensity”. - Felix Ayo -

“His enthusiasm is carved in our minds as pure emotions, melancholy, but at the same time emotions of the sweet harmony and naturalness of his interpretations. The guitarist excited his audience with his radiant sound, elegance, clearness, beauty, and agility. He combines both elements of dance and virtuosity in his playing, filling his performances with unbelievable energy. Domenico Del Giudice shows the poetry of the guitar that comes from deep within his soul. Rarely can you hear a guitar concert of such high quality and the splendor of the music is not lost at the end of the performance because the audience leaves with its memory kept safe in their hearts like a precious gem”. - Landauer Neue Presse -

The words of the great Spanish violinist Felix Ayo and those from the music critic of the “Landauer Neue Presse”, are just a few of the enthusiastic opinions people from the music world have used to describe the musical talent of Domenico Del Giudice.

A concert guitarist who performs both in Italy and abroad, Del Giudice is one of Italy’s most critically acclaimed performers. Born in Bari to a family of professional musicians, his musical studies began at a very early age.

Embarking on his career early, Del Giudice has become distinguished for his natural interpretations of the music, his truly great expressiveness, and the stylistic rigors that make him stand out from the rest.

His love of music from all eras, from the Renaissance to Jazz, make his concerts unique and are distinguished by their variety of sounds and styles. It is not uncommon to hear first-time ever performances during his recitals.

Domenico’s studies have brought him all over the world and he has studied with some of the best instructors in the business. For some years he was a student of Giuseppe Ficara; afterwards he moved to Spain where he perfected his craft with the great guitar pedagogue, Josè Tomàs. In France he attended courses of “Applied Musicology” with Javier Hinojosa, which proved to be essential in giving him a knowing interpretation of the early music for lute, vihuela, and baroque guitar. His desire to learn does not stop there, he also has degrees from both the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice and the Ecole Nationale du Rancy in France, earning top honors (Cum Laude) from both. Other studies include “Master Class” with David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, and Leo Brouwer. Domenico’s talent and hard work have also helped him in being awarded scholarships, which enabled him to study Spanish music at the University of Santiago de Compostela over the course of many years. However, his musical career is not limited only to the most important cities in Italy, he regularly has concerts in France, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Canada, England, the U.S., and Mexico just to name a few.

Domenico is also an active chamber musician and works with various instrumental groups. As a soloist he has performed guitar concertos by Giuliani, Rodrigo, Ponce, Villa Lobos, Castelnuovo – Tedesco, Takemitsu, Piazzolla, Brouwer, and Vivaldi.

At the moment, he is taking part in some of the largest international guitar festivals and is repeatedly invited by the most renowned concert societies to play.

As an instructor, he is regularly asked by influential music academies and institutions alike to give courses in proficiency and master class, as well as seminars such as: “International Guitar Course” in Gaeta, “Gubbio Summer Festival”, “Josè Tomàs Guitar Days” in Deruta, “Internationales Guitarren Seminar” in Reisbach and internships in the Italian cities of Matera, Lecce, and Serrapetrona. His musical performances have also been broadcasted on radio not only in Italy but also internationally.

Passionate about antique and modern instruments, Domenico has a highly valuable guitar collection which he uses regularly depending on the interpretive style he is looking for.
